Welcome to the new world of pitch-based baseball information. Inside Edge is a baseball scouting company serving all levels of competition, including the majority of Major League teams. It allows you to get online access to a variety of totally unique and compelling reports, stats, and editorial a rticles, updated every day! See more detailed descriptions of each report, along with glossaries, on each report’s main page.

Report Cards – grade performance of every pitcher and hitter, based on how they do compared to Major League averages. We break down performance across a variety of categories to reveal the

Scouting Reports – graphics, numbers, and colors bring to life every player’s performance, by pitch type, location, count, etc. The same reports used by big media and MLB clubs.

Sortable Stats – allows you to rank all hitters or pitchers on any Report Card stat, score, and more. Look at splits by Pitch Type or year, or analyze a particular defensive position or team. Very powerful evaluation tool!

Postgame Reports – Updated every night after games are completed, get Pitcher Postgame and Pitcher Report Card reports on each starter’s outing tonight, or look at a hitting team’s performance through their Hitter Report Card. Archives available, too.

Player Ratings – Inside Edge Player Ratings rank players from best to worst, filterable by position or team. IE projections are unique and unmatched in accuracy because they are based on every pitch each player has seen, as opposed to just At-Bat-ending actions. Every pitch is given a value, then each player’s rating is calculated based on a “pitch points” formula, because “Every Pitch Counts.”
